Seyeon Chang is an active improviser and researcher. She is performing extensively around New York and New Jersey area, also in various fields across the world.
After graduated Busan Foreign Language High School, Seyeon earned Bachelor of Music (B.M.) degree in classical composition and Bachelor of Music (B.M.) in jazz performance at Mokwon University. Now, Seyeon is pursuing Master of Music (M.M.) in jazz performance at William Paterson University in 2018.
Not only as a performer, but also as a researcher, Seyeon has a research design of relationship between improvisation and life experience; she has done a qualitative investigation into jazz improvisers' cognition in familiar and unfamiliar group settings.
